RPM SYSTEMS CORPORATION

Mr. Garfein is the Founder, and CEO of RPM Systems Corporation, Established in 1980

Steve is a founding member of the team that developed Apache Helicopter in what was referred to as “Howard Hobby Shop,” a division of Hughes Tool Company. It was the same organization that built the ill-fated XF-11 (crashed) and the Spruce Goose (flew only once for a mile). The success of the Apache occurred eight years after Howard’s death, and thousands have been built and deployed worldwide. The success of RPM Systems Corporation began with the valuable lessons learned in Howard’s Hobby Shop.

Steve is the author of two dozen published papers, and has been a frequent speaker at global management congresses. He has been a visiting professor, teaching graduate-level master's classes at Oxford University, the University of Technology Sydney, and the Queensland University of Technology. He has business degrees from both UCLA and USC.
